Bags of Hope – Empowering Young Learners
Bags of Hope is a charitable initiative that provides children in public schools in Malawi with locally made, water-resistant drawstring bags filled with essential school supplies. Each bag includes a matching pencil case, notebooks, pencils, pens, a ruler, a sharpener, and an eraser.
The project was created to address the lack of basic school supplies that many children face, which often forces them to carry materials in plastic bags or go without, making it harder for them to engage in their lessons.
All funds raised go directly towards material costs, production by local artisans, and distribution. The aim is to equip 500 children in the first phase, with the hope of expanding the project further with ongoing community support.
